This former castle was rebuilt in 1764 as the late baroque residence of the de Mattencloit family. The residence burned down during World War II and was reconstructed from 1958-1963. Today it is used for cultural and tourism purposes. Inside are the Municipal Cultural Centre, Public Library, Tourist Information Point and a restaurant. Nearby, you can also find an amphitheatre, viewing pier and “Młyńszczok” Water Sports Centre. Two swimming pools have been sectioned off from the water reservoir. During the summer holiday season, water sports enthusiasts can enjoy sailing, windsurfing, pedal boats and kayaks.
